When you use Quotr, we may receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, timestamps, pages or features used, error information, authentication events, and security logs. We use this information to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, personalize, and improve Quotr;
  • create and administer accounts, stores, organizations, roles, and permissions;
  • calculate quotes, manage products and pricing, attach files, track orders, support production, and generate reports;

4. Store customer data

When a store or organization enters information about its customers, employees, products, files, orders, or operations, that business generally determines why the information is collected and how it will be used. Quotr processes that information to provide the service at the business customer's direction.

Business customers are responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any permissions required for the information they place in Quotr. Requests from an end customer concerning data maintained by a store may need to be directed to that store. We will reasonably assist our business customers in responding to valid privacy requests where required.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use providers for database hosting, authentication, cloud infrastructure, website hosting, email delivery, payment processing, scheduling, customer support, storage, security, and related operational services. These providers receive information only for the services they perform for us.
  • At your direction. We disclose information when an authorized account user directs us to send an order, file, message, payment request, or other information to a customer, store, production location, vendor, or other recipient.
  • Within an organization. Information may be available to authorized owners, administrators, managers, employees, or participating production locations according to account roles and store settings.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud or abuse; or enforce our agreements.
  • Business transactions. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.

6. Payments

Quotr uses Stripe for subscription billing and may allow stores to connect their own Stripe accounts for customer payment links. Stripe processes payment-card information under its own terms and privacy policy. Quotr generally receives transaction identifiers, payment status, amounts, and related account information rather than full payment-card numbers.

7. Cookies and local storage

Quotr may use essential cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember settings, maintain security, and support core application functions. The marketing site may also request externally hosted fonts and other necessary website assets. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies to deliver targeted ads.

8. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and security records, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate operational needs. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason it is maintained.

When an account is closed, some information may remain in backups or records for a limited period. We may also retain information when required by law, necessary to prevent fraud, or needed to establish or defend legal claims.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication, role-based access controls, encrypted network connections, managed infrastructure, logging, and access limitations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Account users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials, using appropriate access permissions, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

10. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to appeal a decision concerning a privacy request. You may also have the right to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling. Quotr does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

To submit a request, email info@joinquotr.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. If your information was provided to Quotr by a store using the service, we may direct you to that store or coordinate with it to respond.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right protected by applicable law.

Quotr is operated from the United States. Information may be stored and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from the laws where you live.
